We are excited to share the successful delivery of the 12,500 m² interior design and renovation project for BINUS University’s new Medan campus. Beyond establishing a stronger foothold in Sumatra, this campus introduces a modern, future-ready learning environment that echoes BINUS University’s vision of excellence and continuous growth in education.

The design concept adopts a Neo-Vernacular approach, a thoughtful blend of local architectural elements and modern design principles. This approach not only reflects the cultural identity of North Sumatra but also creates an urban, contemporary campus environment—like those in other capital cities—designed to attract and inspire future students.

In harmony with BINUS University’s sustainability goals, the concept is aligned with the Green Campus initiative, incorporating efficient planning, responsible material selection, and design strategies that enhance wellbeing and environmental responsibility.

One of the unique challenges of this project was the site itself: the campus spans 10 floors within a high-rise building, integrated into a retail shopping mall and business district in the heart of Medan. Our team addressed this challenge by carefully planning circulation, zoning, and functional integration to create a seamless educational environment within a highly urbanized context.

This achievement was made possible through close collaboration and strong teamwork with the BINUS University leadership team. Their guidance, support, and commitment were key in ensuring the project’s success and delivering the highest quality standards.
